Whether it's scope creep or an unforeseen shortage of talent, but Ryse Technologies can help pick up the slack wherever needed in such difficult situations.

Business Process Design

To ensure the functional efficiency of your business, we can help you to take advantage of the Microsoft LCS Business process modeler. Libraries of business processes can be created by one of our implementation experts in conjunction with your subject matter experts during the implementation or anytime in the future.

Process documentation

Process documentation is a series of internal instructions on how to complete tasks of varying complexity and exist to ensure repeat success with such tasks. While tedious, internal process documentation is a useful reusable resource that helps current and future employees across every department of your organization.

Business Process Modeler (BPM)

The Business Process Modeler Library of LCS is a comprehensive list of every business process, transaction, and scenario that is influenced by or contained within a projects scope. It acts as a detailed road map of functionality to be developed. Each line item in the master list shows a completion stage, acceptance testing status, and may have links to relevant information like mockups or templates in the case of UI development or reports.

Hypercare and Support

Hypercare is the period of time immediately following a system Go Live where an elevated level of support is available to ensure the seamless adoption of a new system. After GoLive, our solution architects will remain to handle any emergent needs that may arise. Along with hypercare, we will provided support for as long as necessary to ensure that your enterprise's transition is without issue.

The Microsoft Certified Solution Architects at Ryse Technologies also offers ongoing support and maintenance in whatever capacity is needed by your organization. Whether from simple code reviews to dedicated, 24/7 support, we can determine a Service Level Agreement that fits your needs and budget.

Extensions

The Microsoft certified solution architects at Ryse Technologies can provide the customizations your company needs. Early during the implementation process, we assess and document business requirements for a successful implementation. We understand that your company is unique and can provide a tailor fit solution by assessing any gaps and necessary customizations to ensure success. We prioritize understanding how your company needs the product to work and can make it easy and useful for every end user.

We always strive to conform to standards and best practices as much as possible in order to reduce maintenance of the application long term. We leverage frameworks wherever possible and are knowledgeable about extending the existing solution in a smart way to reduce the time and cost of updating your solution to the latest version.

Proof of Concept

To help show a project is feasible and will reach success, we can create proof of concept applications for you. Different from a prototype, a proof of concept shows the product can be made, rather than how it's made. With a proof of concept, we can also show that we understand your needs and have familiarized ourselves with your unique business goals.

A Prototype can be built to display the behavior of core processes and functionalities in practice. It is used to cost-effectively demonstrate design proposals and gives the end-user an opportunity to evaluate a solution hands on and to provide feedback early in the process

Training and GoLive Planning

User adoption is a priority. In addition to designing and building the implementation, our team of experienced solutions developers can provide training to ensure users understand how to use new custom implementations.

Conference room pilots (CRP) will be ran during implementation for every separate implementation process category. A CRP is the meeting to provide final input for an implementation leading up to a go live. This process is important for any last second changes whose need may not have been apparent early on in the design phase.

Special attention should be given to planning the implementation's GoLive process. A detailed schedule needs to be made, departments and vendors need to be notified in advance, and many other crucial details need to be ironed out. Some processes, subsystems, or employees may be dependent on one another, and any hitch could have a cascading effect. We will work with you to create a plan for the GoLive. With many successful GoLives under their belt, the Microsoft Certified Solution Architects at Ryse Technologies can help make certain the transition of your enterprise's functions to the new platform is seamless.

In conjunction with a Golive plan it is crucial to establish a solid Roll back plan in case of unforeseen circumstances. For especially sensitive processes, roll backs should be an option, as well as go/no go calls.

Data Migration

Whether data is from an older version of Dynamics or a completely different software system, data migration is a process that should be taken seriously and invested in during any implementation. This process is frequently overlooked, with up to 75 percent of newly implemented systems failing to meet expectations due to poorly validated data.

Ryse Technologies has a team of Microsoft Certified Solution Architects have many data migration projects under their belts from many migration sources to Dynamics systems:

  • Non-dynamics
  • Lightly customized, older versions of Dynamics
  • Heavily customized, older versions of Dynamics

We have experience mitigating risk in various ways during cutover weekend, including devising processes  to ensure that if large amounts of data cannot be migrated in a certain window, ensure only newest data is migrated first, then migrate the remaining data piecemeal.

Requirements Gathering

Over years of projects, our experts have accumulated a wealth of knowledge on what makes an ironclad requirements list. Your company is unique and we want to ensure a perfect implementation. We can be depended on across several aspects of requirements gathering, including:

Requirements elicitation

During requirements elicitation, we work with you to determine what is needed for your implementation. Our experts worked on countless ERP implementations and are veterans in knowing what questions to ask and what is needed for a proper implementation.

Requirements documentation

During this stage, we compile all of the information we learned during requirements elicitation into a clear and orderly document that shows our understanding of your company's requirements.

Requirements understanding

After the requirements have been documented, we work with you to determine any aspects of the requirements document to ensure that everything is copacetic. We want to implement the project that you want to implement.

Integrations

Our team of solution experts at Ryse Technology have extensive integration experience. If any part of your current system relies on an external system such as an online API, we can provide a seamless integration with a selection of our D365 applications.

Types of integrations include:

Power Platform integration

Odata

Batch data API

Custom service

Consume external web services

Excel integration

Common data model

All the data that is accessible in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations are described by the Common Data Model. Applications and extensions can be easily built downstream with the help of the data model. Power BI is one example of an analytics tool that has built-in integration with the Common Data Model schema. Customers and partners can also build feature rich applications that integrate data across multiple sources without the need to process it, as the data is warehoused as a compatible entity set.

Dual-write for CE and F&O

For organizations that use both Finance and operations and customer engagement apps, Dual-write is a powerful tool that enables near-real-time integration between the two software suites. The integration is bidirectional and tightly coupled. The infrastructure behind this feature is reliable and extensible, and is especially useful if an external customer engagement app is necessary for your organization.

ODATA

Open Data Protocol (ODATA) is a protocol used for processing and creating data. Based on REST and CRUD operations, ODATA applies internet tools like JSON and HTTP to help facilitate integration between various programs. Most data within Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations can be exposed using ODATA and can be accessed using business events, integration services, functions, and more.

Service classes

Despite what many think, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) continued to support SOAP protocols after updating from Dynamics AX 2012. Although the SOAP functionality remains the same, the main difference between the versions is that D365 F&O no longer uses AIF. With a custom service classes, XML may be used to communicate with other software platforms in your organization that would otherwise be inaccessible by D365F&O.

Data management import/export

The Data Import and Export Framework (DIXF) within Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) allows for the import and export of data contained within the tables of your D365 F&O implementation. Specifically DIXF allows for the integration, set up and configurations, and data migrations of data and does not require a technical developer in most cases.

BYOD

An alternative to the entity store, BYOD is a feature that enables users to export data entities into their own Azure SQL database. If your system requires batch integration with external systems or T-SQL analytical tools other than Power BI are used, or an external data warehouse is required, then BYOD is recommended over the entity store.

Office interop

The Excel Data Connector add-in allows data integration between Excel workbooks and OData services . This enables the use of an excel workbook to interact with and manipulate data sourced from 365 apps like Commerce, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.

Power BI

D365 F&0's primary reporting tool, Power BI is a scalable resource that enables you enterprise to securely integrate in data from multiple mediums (Excel D365, SQL Server, etc.). Power BI provides self-service reporting, allows for customer-partner collaboration, and lets users model data across departments and industries to be viewed anywhere. Additionally, it is possible Integrate Power Bi reporting in your D365 solution with Power Bi embedded.

Business events

Business events allow Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to notify external systems to ensure all transactions are made, data is sent and any other business logics needs are met outside of the Finance and Operation app. Microsoft Power Automate and Azure are used to help consume these business events and ensure your system continues to run smoothly, no matter the external application used outside of Finance and Operations.

Fit / Gap Analysis

Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (Dynamics AX) is a robust software suite that is flexible to suit your business needs. We want to adjust the software to fit your company, not the other way around. A team of experts at Ryse Technologies can help determine gap fits, or ways of adjusting the software, to fit such needs. At the fit gap analysis stage of implementation, we ensure that you company's business needs are met. Our experts will analyze each requirement and record important aspects for each, including:

  1. Priority: The priority level may come from a business preference, or from an architectural foundation priority.
  2. Gap intensity: Determine how much customization of an out-of-the-box feature is necessary for a given requirement. There can also be an evaluation if GAP can be realized by other means like adjusting processes or using 3rd party applications.
  3. Effort amount: A combination of requirement difficulty and man hours.

In addition, our experts will pair specific notes for each requirement to ensure the accuracy and success of the implementation.
